Kindness, Gratitude and a Growth Mindset
Dear Limehouse Families,
This update includes information about our Winter Concert and Santa Breakfast. Please read all the way to the bottom.
Winter Concert
Our Winter Concert will be on Thursday December 11.
There will be two shows so that families can choose to come first at 9 am and then go on about their day or at 2 pm so you can enjoy the show and then go home with your kids.
Our afternoon buses will run normally however it would help our process greatly if you wish to take your child home with you instead of riding the bus, we ask you to fill out this form. We want to ensure everyone gets home safely.
Charitable Season:
Winter is coming and this brings our attention to the upcoming winter celebrations! Although this can be a very exciting time for families, it can also be a difficult time for those who struggle to make ends meet. We at Limehouse P.S. would like to do what we can to make sure that everyone’s holidays are happy.
We will be holding a Holiday Food and Gift Drive during the coming weeks, beginning at Santa Breakfast. We will be collecting non-perishable foods for the Georgetown Breadbasket. Additionally, we will be looking to support some families in our community and partnering with Miracle on Main once again with our friend Tiger Jeet Singh Jr. Donations of gift cards, toys, winter accessories and small gifts would be greatly appreciated if you are able to help.
In order to ensure food and gifts are ready for families in time for the winter break, please send your donations in by Thursday, December 12. You are welcome to bring them into the office during parent/teacher conferences or leave them under the Christmas tree in our lobby at the Santa Breakfast.
Santa Breakfast is Coming
Save the Date of Saturday, December 6, from 8-11 for Santa Breakfast! We will be welcoming everyone to join us here at Limehouse. Santa will be here from 8:30 to 10:30 am!
Call out for Silent Auction Items
Santa Breakfast is coming up fast. Saturday December 6, from 8 am to 11 pm!
We are calling out for donations that may be auctioned off during our silent auction. Limehouse School Council will also be soliciting donations from local businesses. If you are able to donate an auction item the students of Limehouse would be the grateful beneficiaries!
Also, each class will be trying to create a Class Basket for the Santa Breakfast Silent Auction. We are asking each family, if you are able, to send in one small item that can be included in your child's "Class Basket". The class baskets will then appear in the Silent Auction at the Santa Breakfast, on Saturday, December 6th, for people to bid on. See below for the class themes.
KF1 - Mrs. Ireland - “Relax & Recharge Basket”
Items could include: lotion, lip balm, cozy socks, tea bags, candles, face masks, etc.
Grade 1 - Mrs. O’Driscoll - “Creative Kids Craft Basket”
Items could include: markers, stickers, glue sticks, mini canvases, washi tape, craft kits, etc.
Class 23-1 Ms MacFarlane - “Sweet Treats & Snacks Basket”
Items could include: No Nuts Please, small candy packs, popcorn bags, hot chocolate packets, granola bars, cookies, etc.
Class 23-2 - Mrs Lawrie - “Family Fun Night Basket”
Items could include: card games, popcorn seasoning, puzzle books, dice, playing cards, small snacks, etc.
Class 4/5 - Mrs Williams - “BBQ Basket”
Item inspiration: gift cards, sauces, marinades, utensils, apron, mitts

Donate your gently used Limehouse Lynx clothing to the school by November 20th.
Come back the week of November 25th (during Student-Led Conferences) and find a new piece that fits just right!
It’s a great way to keep our Limehouse pride alive, refresh your child’s wardrobe, and support our school community, all while being eco-friendly!
Light Up the Garden & Sweets with Santa
Bundle up and come out to our annual "Light Up the Garden & Sweets with Santa" event at the Millennium Garden in the middle of Limehouse on Sat., Dec. 6 at 5:30 pm. After the tree lighting, we'll walk over the bridge to the Limehouse Memorial Hall to mingle and sing a few Christmas carols. Santa and Mrs Claus will join in the festivities and share treats and cheer. .
