  • Stewarttown Volleyball Tournament Champs! Congratulations to our both our girls and boys Volleyballs Teams for their fantastic performance at the Stewarttown Volleyball Tournament on April 18th. Both teams have worked extremely hard all season and the coaches are so proud of every member of the team! Our students showed great team work, good sportsmanship and an obvious development of  volleyball skills. This all comes from their hard work at practice and a true love of the sport! Way to Go Lynx!!

  • Earth Day Dear Limehouse Families,We have decided to change the date of our Limehouse Earth Day. The new date is Tuesday April 24th. At 2:00 on the 24th we will be holding our Earth Day assembly followed by our annual playground clean up. We are hopeful that all the snow will be gone by then. Technically, Earth Day is EVERYDAY so wear your colourful clothing or a piece of clothing that has an Earth important message on it whenever you want! If you have something special that you want to wear just for our Limehouse Earth Day please save it until Tuesday.BE Green! THINK Green! GO GREEN!GROW IT GREEN TEAM

  • Stewarttown Parent Information Night Dear Parents/Guardians,  Please save the date - Thursday, May 24th  Stewarttown Middle School will be hosting their annual Information Night for grade 5 parents and students. Time is to be confirmed but it will be an evening event.  Student ambassadors will talk about life at Stewarttown and lead the tours through classrooms. All money raised will support Heart & Stroke in their mission to promote children’s health and fund vital heart and stroke research.Jump Rope for Heart encourages kids to get active by skipping rope while they collect pledges for heart disease and stroke research.   • When We Were Alone HDSB Author Event Dear Limehouse Families,  Students in grades 1 through 5 have the opportunity to attend a presentation featuring Cree Nation author ‘David A. Robertson’ on Wednesday February 28th. Our students will be bused to Milton District High School and joining other Halton Hills schools.The permission form has been sent home in your students backpack and also emailed to families. Kindly sign and send it back to your child's teacher by February 27th.   • Another Exciting Author Event in the Library! Thank you to Author Andrew Larsen who did a Virtual Author visit with all of our Kindergarten to Grade 2 classes in the Library today!  Andrew book, A Squiggly Story, is currently nominated for a Blue Spruce Award. The students had the opportunity to interact with the author, ask questions about his books and learn about his writing process!

  • Library News: Forest of Reading Program The Primary Students of L.P.S. are once again taking part in the Ontario Library Association’s Blue Spruce Reading Program. Each year 10 Canadian picture books are nominated for the Blue Spruce Award. Students in Kindergarten to grade 2 participate in the program and are read each of the nominated books from January to April during their Library classes. After all the stories have been read, the students will have the chance to vote for the book of their choice. This year students in Grades 3 and 4 are invited to participate in the Ontario Library Association’s Silver Birch Express Program.   • A Message from Mme Romanet Bonjour,We have been having a great winter so far in the French classes.  The junior French students worked hard on their writing resulting in wonderful snowman letters by the Grade 4's, soon to be on display in the hallway near the library, and friendship cubes by the Grade 5's, on display in the library.  After preparing for reading with various prereading activities, each grade has been working on story reading in their Galaxy readers.  The grade 1's have done a great job with weather words and are moving on to body parts.
