  • CUPE Labour Sanctions Information Dear Limehouse Families,  Our School Board has sent a notice to families re: the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) labour sanctions. We've attached the letter to this email in case you haven't had the opportunity to read it.We are encouraging families to send lunches in reusable containers to assist with reducing the amount of waste, where possible.   • Requesting a change to pick-up or bus drop-off routines Please fill out the required form if you are requesting the school or our bus drivers to release your child to another adult/caregiver that is not registered as the legal guardian or emergency contact. We ask that you send the completed form a minimum of 5 days in advance so that we may confirm the approval and communicate your request to the appropriate people. Please call the school if you require a form.

  • Police Checks for Volunteers All parents/guardians who volunteer in Halton schools will need a Police Vulnerable Sector Search. You can get this by going to the Halton Regional Police. This can take several weeks. However, you can now also apply online http://www.policesolutions.ca/checks/services/halton/index.php  . We have been told that this process is quicker. We encourage all parents/guardians to get this police check in their first year at Limehouse PS as there may be special events that you’d like to attend or where you are requested to come into the classroom to work with your child.   • School Starts Tuesday Sept. 03rd! We are SOOOO excited to welcome our students to their 2019/2020 academic year! If your child is arriving by bus, student supervisors and support staff will be ready to greet them as soon as they arrive. If you are dropping your child off please park in the lower parking lot and teachers will be ready to greet you behind the school at 8:15am. See you Tuesday!

  • Doors locked for safety Once school begins, all doors will be locked from 8:30am until dismissal at 3:00pm, for student safety. If you wish to pick up your child during school hours, please ensure that you stop at the office and your child's teacher will be notified to send them down to the office to meet you.

  • Signing In & Signing Out If you are picking up your child during learning time, please sign your child 'out' on the "Sign Out" sheet that is kept outside the office. It is very important that you always connect with the office as this ensures safety protocols are being followed. The same applies if your child arrives late in the day. We ask that you sign your child 'in' and have the office staff inform the teacher that your child has arrived. Please note that it is the office/teacher's responsibility to oversee a child's return or departure from class. We ask that you kindly respect that parents/guardians should not bring or pick up a child from the class, themselves. Thank you ...
