  • Halton Hills Public Reading Program This summer the Public Libraries will be offering their summer reading program again. This is a great way to keep your children motivated to read all summer long! Check out the brochure that is coming home in your child’s backpack today and join in the fun! Saturday June 16th is the  launch of the TD Summer Reading Club 2018 with a special visit from Captain Underpants from 10-12pm at the Georgetown Branch and 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Acton Branch! A Virtual Reality system will also be available for kids 10 and up to try at the Acton Branch!

  • North School Regional Track and Field Meet-Thursday June 14, 2018 Our regional track and field meet for some of our grade 3, 4 and 5 students will be at Craig Kielburger HS in Milton on Thursday, June 14.  Event times are listed below, however, all times are approximate as each event begins when the previous one finishes.  400m at 10:00am, 200m at 10:45am, 75m at 11:15am, Relay races begin at 12:30pm.  Ball Throw: Grade 3 girls at 10:00, boys at 10:30.   • Limehouse Track and Field Meet--Thursday June 7, 2018 The Grades 3, 4 and 5 students are very busy practising their running, jumping and throwing in preparation for our Limehouse Track and Field meet on Thursday June 7, 2018.  We are in need of some parent volunteers to help out during our school meet.   • Warmer Weather and Black Flies With the sun shining brightly and with our temperatures rising, our black flies are happily buzzing around us at recess. If you would like your child to wear a mosquito-net hat please send them in and we will help remind them to use it. Also, if there is concern over potential sunburns, please don't forget to sunscreen in the morning!

  • Forest of Reading 2018 Voting Results Well done LPS on completing the 2018 Forest of Reading Program!! Last week was Voting week and the results are in! The LPS Blue Spruce winner was in fact a tie between The Darkest Dark by Chris Hadfield and The Owl and the Lemming by Roselynn Akulukjuk. The Silver Birch Express Winner was Smiley by Joanne George. The Silver Birch Fiction winner was Doll’s Eye by Marina Cohen and Silver Birch Non-Fiction was Top Dog by Elizabeth Macleod. The official winners will be announced in May at the Festival of Trees.
