WEEKLY UPDATE FROM LIMEHOUSE PUBLIC SCHOOL
November 14, 2025
Kindness, Gratitude and a Growth Mindset
Dear Limehouse Families,
Pizza Lunch is open on School Cash Online for term 2!
Limehouse Lynx Clothing Swap!
Do you have Limehouse spiritwear that’s too small or no longer being worn? We’ve got the perfect solution!
At the end of November, we’re hosting a Limehouse Lynx Clothing Swap!
Here’s how it works:
Donate your gently used Limehouse Lynx clothing to the school by November 20th.
Come back the week of November 25th (during Student-Led Conferences) and find a new piece that fits just right!
It’s a great way to keep our Limehouse pride alive, refresh your child’s wardrobe, and support our school community, all while being eco-friendly!
Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week (Nov 16 -22 2025): Ontario has designated the week beginning on the third Sunday of November as Bullying awareness and Prevention Week to help promote safe schools and a positive learning environment.
During Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week students, school staff and parents are encouraged to learn more about bullying, including cyberbullying and their effects on student learning and well-being. Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week enables schools to promote positive change in student learning, achievement, and well-being for a safer learning environment, which is essential to student success. This week is an opportunity to increase awareness of the available tools and resources. Everyone has a responsibility to stop bullying.
We encourage everyone – students, parents and guardians, educators – to get involved with bullying prevention. To assist in this effort, you may wish to share this resource with parents/guardians. Learn what to watch for, what you can do and where to get help if your child is being bullied - Bullying – we can all help stop it.
During Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week your school community may be participating in conversations and activities that support students' understanding of bullying. It is important for students and families to understand the nature of peer-to-peer conflict, and when to seek help. The resource Helping Your Child Build Positive Relationships and Manage Conflict provides information and tips to help your child manage peer-to- peer conflicts. Charitable Season:
Winter is coming and this brings our attention to the upcoming winter celebrations! Although this can be a very exciting time for families, it can also be a difficult time for those who struggle to make ends meet. We at Limehouse P.S. would like to do what we can to make sure that everyone’s holidays are happy.
We will be holding a Holiday Food and Gift Drive during the coming weeks, beginning at Santa Breakfast. We will be collecting non-perishable foods for the Georgetown Breadbasket. Additionally, we will be looking to support some families in our community and partnering with Miracle on Main once again with our friend Tiger Jeet Singh Jr. Donations of gift cards, toys, winter accessories and small gifts would be greatly appreciated if you are able to help.
In order to ensure food and gifts are ready for families in time for the winter break, please send your donations in by Thursday, December 12. You are welcome to bring them into the office during parent/teacher conferences or leave them under the Christmas tree in our lobby at the Santa Breakfast.
