  • Thank you Halton Hills Public Library For Visiting Us! Thank you to the Halton Hills Public Library for visiting us today to talk about the summer reading club. Please check out your information booklet that is coming home with your child today! It has all the times, themes, movies, and activities happening this summer and how to sign your child up.

  • Halton Hills Public Library Summer Reading Presentation On Wednesday June 21st the Halton Hills Public Library will be visiting Limehouse to talk about their summer reading program. Each grade will come down to the Library to learn about this great program that encourages reading over the summer months!     Schedule of Visits for Wed. June 21st   8:30-8:45am - Grade 3   8:45-9:00 - Grade 1   9:00-9:15 - Grade 4   9:15-9:30 - Grade 2   9:30-9:45 - Grade 5   9:45-10:00 - both Kindergarten classes   Please check out the link for information on the program and other Summer Reading Programs available to school aged children.   HHPL Summer Reading Program

  • Another Exciting Library Event! Thank you to Mike Boldt who visited Limehouse today as part of TD Canadian Children’s Book Week . He gave a talk about being an author and illustrator to our Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. Thank you once again to our Parent Council for funding these exciting events where our young students get to meet and learn from professional authors and illustrators!

  • Awesome Author Visit! Thank you to Author Michael Wade who visited Limehouse today to talk about his best selling “And Then It Happened" series. He gave a humorous and engaging talk to our Grade 3, 4 and 5 classes about the writing process and left students with powerful message that anyone can be a writer! Thank you once again to our Parent Council for funding this Literacy event!

  • Dairy Educator Visits Limehouse! We had a fantastic Dairy Educator visit us today at Limehouse! The Kindergarten classes learned about Dairy Farming. Their presentation talked about how the farmer produces milk, seasons, farm equipment and farm life. The Grades 1, 2 and 3’s presentations focused on  the Canada’s Food Guide and the role dairy products have in a healthy lifestyle. The Grade 4 presentations focused on compared medieval farm equipment to modern day farm equipment. Please ask your child about their classes presentation today!

  • Hot Chocolate Fundraiser for Sick Kids Hospital - April 11 Hot Chocolate Day comes to Limehouse on April 11!The grade 3s are organizing a special Hot Chocolate day on April 11 to raise funds for the Sick Kids Foundation. This is a culminating activity for the Grade 3 unit on measurement and a fun way to incorporate their learning in action. We will be selling hot chocolate to students for a $2 donation to Sick Kids.  We hope you can support us by sending in a twoonie on the 11th to support our fundraising efforts.

  • Library News: Authors Coming to Limehouse We are thrilled to announce that Limehouse will have two authors visiting our school this spring! The first author is Michael Wade and he will be here on April 5th to talk to our Grade 3, 4 and 5 students. Micheal is the author of the popular “And Then It Happened” Series.   • Battle of the Books 2017 Our 2017 Battle of the Books Team has been working hard in preparation for the Battle on Wednesday March 29th at the Halton Hills Public Library!Battle of the Books is a fun, free and educational program that all schools in Halton Hills are invited to attend. It is a school-day event where teams of students come to the Georgetown Library to play in a “quiz show” kind of game. Teams are asked to answer questions based on the plots and characters of familiar stories. This program is an excellent way to promote reading and it encourages kids to demonstrate their understanding of a variety of literary texts.   • March Spirit Days!! March Spirit Days!!!!This week, at Limehouse Public School, we would like to kick off March Break with a couple of Spirit Days!Tuesday March 7 - Come dressed in green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!  Don't forget your shamrocks!Thursday March 9 - Beach Day!!!!  Come dressed in your most colourful beach-y clothes! This could include items such as sunglasses, shorts, t-shirts, and sandals. Two notes: Please leave the bathing suits at home and remember that it is still winter so you'll need warmer clothes for recess.Let's get into the spirit, Limehouse!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!  Go Lynx!!!!!!!

  • Tuesday February 7 School is cancelled today Today is Tuesday February 7. Halton District School Board transportation is cancelled for all bus zones (1, 2, and 3)  The following schools in Zone 3 are closed because the majority of students are bussed: Brookville, Limehouse, Pineview and Stewarttown. ​Our school will be closed today. We hope everyone has a safe day.
