Battle of the Books 2017

Our 2017 Battle of the Books Team has been working hard in preparation for the Battle on Wednesday March 29th at the Halton Hills Public Library!

Battle of the Books is a fun, free and educational program that all schools in Halton Hills are invited to attend. It is a school-day event where teams of students come to the Georgetown Library to play in a “quiz show” kind of game. Teams are asked to answer questions based on the plots and characters of familiar stories. This program is an excellent way to promote reading and it encourages kids to demonstrate their understanding of a variety of literary texts. Our team is made up of three students from Grade 3, Grade 4 and Grade 5. The following students are representing Limehouse this year:  Grade 3: Andrew S., Ethan M., and Leo N. Grade 4: Olivia B., Thea B., Callie A and Grade 5's: Max B., Evangelina B, and Saioni B. Wish us luck on March 29th!
